Christmas
Thursday evening we had our Christmas with the kids.
Friday we went to Philomath and stayed with my parents. Saturday
was our big "HAMILTON" Christmas. There were 30 of us, what fun!
Sunday we left and dropped off the 4 kids in Boring and Grace stayed with Grandma.
Dave and I stayed up until 2am playing Karaoke. We had a blast, lots of laughing.
Monday Dave & I drove up to the Gorge and spent the day at his brothers.
Boy how all those kids have grown. I had really missed seeing the Luke & Jared grow.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday.
It will soon be 2007. Time seems to be passing so quickly........

UPDATE
Just an update on our weather. We had severe winds last night and it knocked down a tree on Ten Eyck Rd. They roped off the road and we had lots of people parked outside on the road. We have two elderly ladies that live across the street. Little David went over to check on them. They were fine, playing cards with friends, and drinking tea. Not long after the power came back on.

Gingerbread Man Poem
Once there was a gingerbread man,Baking in a gingerbread pan.Raisin eyes and a cherry nose, Trimmed right down to his fingers and toes.A gingerbread man in a gingerbread pan!
Here's the old woman who made him so sweet,A treat for her and her husband to eat,She made him with flour and sugar and eggs,She gave him a face and two arms and two legs.A gingerbread man in a gingerbread pan!
Now open the oven to see if he's done,This gingerbread man, he know how to run.Out of the oven and onto the floor,Now run away out the kitchen door. The gingerbread man, he's out of the pan! Now chase him old woman, now chase him old manChase him, yes chase him as fast as you can!Through the garden and out the gate,Catch him right now, before it's too late. The gingerbread man, he's out of the pan! Along came a cow who wanted a treatAnd the gingerbread man, he looked good to eat Run, run, as fast as you canYou can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man I'm the gingerbread man and I'm out of the pan! Along came a horse who wanted a snackBut the gingerbread man, he never looked back Run, run, as fast as you canYou can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man I'm the gingerbread man and I'm out of the pan!
Along came a farmer who wanted a treatAnd the gingerbread man, he looked good to eat Run, run, as fast as you canYou can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man I'm the gingerbread man and I'm out of the pan!
Along came a dog who wanted a snackBut the gingerbread man, he never looked back Run, run, as fast as you canYou can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man I'm the gingerbread man and I'm out of the pan!
Along came a hog who wanted a treatAnd the gingerbread man, he looked good to eat Run, run, as fast as you canYou can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man I'm the gingerbread man and I'm out of the pan!
Along came a fox who wanted a treat,And this gingerbread man, he looked good to eat.Jump on my back, my gingerbread pet,And we'll cross the river, so you won't get wet Mr. Gingerbread man, who's out of the pan! There was no place to go, there was no place to run And a ride on the river could be lots of fun! So off with the fox did Gingerbread go And what happened next, you already know To the gingerbread man, who's out of the pan That sly old fox had a de-lic-ious treat And the old man and woman had nothing to eat Not a bite was left for the cow or the dog, The horse or the farmer or hungry old hog There's no gingerbread man in or out of the pan! So let us go home and get out the panAnd we'll make ourselves a new gingerbread man! And when he is eaten, we'll make us some more But this time we'll be certain to lock the back door! A new gingerbread man, in a gingerbread pan!
16 days until CHRISTMAS.

The Legend of the Candy Cane
According to legend there was a candy maker who wanted to invent a candy that was a witness to Christ.
First of all, he used a hard candy because Christ is the rock of ages. This hard candy was shaped so that it would resemble a “J” for Jesus or, turned upside down, a shepherd’s staff. He made it white to represent the purity of Christ.
Finally a red stripe was added to represent the blood Christ shed for the sins of the world, and three thinner red stripes for the stripes He received on our behalf when the Roman soldiers whipped Him. Sometimes a green stripe is added as a reminder that Jesus is a gift from God.
The flavor of the cane is peppermint, which is similar to hyssop. Hyssop is in the mint family and was used in the Old Testament for purification and sacrifice. Jesus is the pure Lamb of God, come to be a sacrifice for the sins of the world.
So, every time you see a candy cane, remember the message of the candy maker: Jesus is the Christ!
Moon's Price
Moon moon up in the sky
Hear my plea, hear my cry
Shift my body to what I need to be if I where free.
Give me wings like a dove so I can fly to my love
But make them black for dove I'm not!
White is bright and sun is hot.
Snow and ice block my way
Wolf fur I need to keep the cold at bay
But make black the fur for wolf not I!
Try they might, seen not I am by mortal eye
For blackest nights I shall fly.
Many days I hide and fly
You see the hunger in mine eyes
Fangs and Claws I ask from thee
To hunt my prey on becoming free
But tiger I'm not! And its love I seek
So happiness be they go away and I again can speak.
Finally at last
I near with fire interwining with desire
Claws and fangs hide themselves
The fur kept the cold away and kept the snow and ice at bay
The wings from the dove
helped me make it to my love.
The thought was nice
But for wishing on the Moon's a price
The only thing my love will recognize
Is the fire of desire burning in mine eyes.

My trip was great but a lot of driving. We had a clear road both ways.
This was the prettiest view of Mt. Shasta.
Finally a pic of me holding Carsten. He is adorable and such a great baby.

On the way home we stopped in G.P. to have lunch with Sylvia. We ate at Senor Sam's, boy it was delicious.

Mom having a good time with all the "eccentric" ones.
