It is Mushroom season again. Dave took
David, Sam, and Grace up picking. They
came home with 3 bags of these. Dave cooked up
a big pan full to go with our dinner. Talk about
mouth watering!
Michelle and Grace are both officially in the Girl Scouts. They have each had one meeting. Just my luck, both the leaders have decided to have meetings every week. Grace's brownie troop has 25 girls, they are combining Daisys and Brownies. Michelle is in Cadets and they have 4 girls. Just shows how many girls stick with it. I know this should be a great year for both of them.

Don't fret COOKIE SALES are coming soon. They are also going to be selling GS calendars.

Well this is going to date me.
My 20th class reunion is next summer, July 20-22.
I can not believe that I have been out of school this long.

GO WARRIORS!

David Jr. had to write a poem for English class. I was so impressed, as were his teachers. They are going to put it up on the board at school.

My Heritage
I'm from potatoes, rainbows, and pots of gold.
I'm from Leprecauns, four leaf clovers, and
from old old stories and myths.
I'm from Red Coats, spots of tea, and wigs of hair.
I'm from extended pinkies while drinking tea. I'm
from duels with pistols numbers in wars, and a
proper stance.
I'm from ranking generals, concentration camps and
unsure soldiers. I'm from nerve gas, obedient soldiers,
and WWI.
I'm from Powwows, mother nature, and tomahawks. I'm
from netting fish, wide open spaces, and the rights to
land. I'm from clear water like liquid glass. I'm from
salmon berries, tall pine trees, and the right to be
an American.
