Grace and I went to see Kellie & McKenzie in Salem Saturday.
We ended up going to Craft Warehouse and Walmart.
We ate lunch at Los Arocos, it was mouth watering.
Grace & I decided to make a quick stop to see Grandma
Erma. She was so surprised to see us. Grace asked her all kinds
of questions about the depression. She has to write a paper
on the depression for school.

23. Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
24. Life isn't like a box of chocolates. It's more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn your butt tomorrow.
Hope you've enjoyed this amazing list of really deep thoughts.

So the kids have had 5 days off for Conferences and I thought today would be bliss, no husband or kids home. Boy was I wrong. Grace was up most of the night sick and kept Michelle up so they are both home sleeping. Darn it! Grace has a reason but Michelle just could not stand that Grace got to stay home another day. What to do with teenagers.

Homecoming 2008

Michelle had plans for a bunch of her girlfriends to come over and get ready here but
one only actually ended up going.
Olivia's mother broke her collar bone yesterday and Livy stayed home
to help out. What a good girl.

Shannon and Michelle in a tradition RAINY Oregon Homecoming.
Before the girls left they had to raid my jewerly boxes and find
cool "Retro" stuff to wear. Funny girls.

Just Lounging

Playing with the new best toy-the cash register

Grace and I were in the kitchen working and I had an epiphany.
It should never be about presents, it should be about
PRESENCE.

Cup of Tea:

One day my mother was out and my dad was

in charge of me. I was maybe 2 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an accident.

Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as

a get-well gift and it was one of my favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in

the evening news when I brought Daddy a

little cup of 'tea', which was just water.

After several cups of tea and lots of

praise for such yummy tea my mom came home.

My Dad made her wait in the living room to

watch me bring him a cup of tea, because

it was 'just the cutest thing!' My Mom

waited, and sure enough, here I come down

the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and

she watches him drink it up.

Then she says, (as only a mother would

know... :)

'Did it ever occur to you that the only

place she can reach to get water is the

toilet?'

WHAT TIME IS IT?
