Grace's School Photo 2006
1st Grade

(This was taken in January 2006)

Grace went and spent the weekend with her Brownie Troop up on Mt. Hood. They and about 100 other girls came and did clean-up on the property. They are getting it all ready for summer camp. She helped do trail clean-up, stacking wood, and cleaning the bathrooms. She had a wonderful time. It rained on them and threatened to snow but they lucked out.

I wrote your name on a piece of paper, but by accident I threw it away.
I wrote your name on my hand, but it washed away,
I wrote your name in the sand, but the waves whispered it away.
I wrote your name in my heart, and forever it will stay.

We are HOME
Dave and I had a wonderful time in Prineville. On the drive down we missed our turn and had to drive an extra 30 miles. On the way home we found it and it was not marked, so it was no surprise we missed the road.
We spent most of our time at the campground. Dave got a fly fishing set and tryed to catch fish. I got lots of QUIET time and read my book. I loved it.
We were very spoiled with the cabin. It was perfect. I told him this would be a perfect cabin to have when the kids leave (when we are old and gray).
The first morning Dave woke up early and told me to come outside quick. There was a herd of 12 mule deer outside the cabin. Dave fed 2 of them out of his hand. There were 4 babies. They were very cute and had huge ears.
On Thursday we did go into Bend and shopped. I got to go to my favorite military surplus store; Dave got to go to the christian book store. We decided to have our Anniversary meal in Bend and ate at Mazatlan's. It was soooo goood!!
Neither of us wanted to leave. It was just beautiful there, great weather.
Here are some photos we took this morning as we were leaving.

Grace playing out in the snow.

We woke up this morning to SNOW. The kids didn't have school today anyway, so no lost time.

WHAT TIME IS IT?
