COUSIN'S CAMPOUT 2010
(no longer float)
I met with Uncle Dennis tonight and we are making plans for the beginning of
August, tenatively Aug 6-8.
The cousin's in Seattle really want to come and we are thinking
something halfway for all.
How does Devil's Lake in Lincoln City sound?
There is a casino, outlet shopping, hotels, motels, the beach,
a campground, kayaking. It has it all. I just need to look into
availability.

Cousin's Float 2010
We are ready to resume our
annual cousin's get together.
I have some dates here to look at and consider.
June 18-20
June 25-27
Aug 6-8
Aug 13-15
Aug 20-22
I will need feedback from everyone about what would be the best time to go.
We will be going back to Lake Selmac, Mallard Loop for camping.
They do offer Yurts and Cabins (brand new this year).

I will be going down on Thursday night to set up.
Friday I thought we would do a jet boat trip in the evening.
Saturday we can spend at the Green bridge or Miami Beach.
Saturday night will be our big dinner.
Can't wait to see who will be coming this year.
Let's make Paula proud!

On Friday night Grace and I went to Jeopardy, a Ranger program.
What fun we had. We had two teams. We met a couple from Virginia.
The categories were Tweet Tweet, Crazy Critters, The Reservoir,
Prineville, and Park Plants. Our team was ahead at Final Jeopardy but we lost on the
last question. It was: 150 years what tribe was the last to go peacefully to the reservation? 1. Blackfoot 2. Paiute 3. Nez Perce
The answer was number two. We said number 3. Oh well.

Saturday, at 5pm Grace went to the scavenger hunt with the Rangers.
She got to be partners with a boy her age, Blaine. What a nice boy.
They had to find: a feather, something soft, something from nature, favorite thing
from the desert, garbage, surprise by the entry booth, and much more.

Saturday night the two girls and I went to the Ranger program called "Tye Dye Plants"
The ranger brought things from nature to dye with. Sagebrush was green, Rabbitbrush
was yellow, and Ochoco Mtn Blueberries were purple. They provided the tshirts for us.
The shirts turned out awesome and the sagebrush one smelled so good.

This was our first trip with the trailer where we had power, water, sewer, and flush
toliets, and free showers. They also sold wood and ice. How nice. It is such a nice park.
