Surgery Update

Dr. Rutledge

The surgery went really well. I was lucky and never did

have nausea, all the other girls suffered terribly.

I have no feeling of hunger, never will.

I get to eat broth, yogurt, jello, and Gatorade for two weeks.

I am sticking very close to our diet. I want to do this right.
My only complaint is that I am always cold.

Monday we arrived and went to see a show. Louie Anderson is so funny.
We booked our tickets online and ended up sitting right in front of the stage.

Tuesday we met my littermates and had clinic with the doctor. Then we decided

we were to close to Hoover Dam to not drive out there.

Surgery was Wednesday.

Thursday I went back to our apartment and slept.

Friday I stayed in and recovered.

Saturday we drove to Red Rocks. Such a beautiful place.

Sunday we got ambitious and drove to Valley of Fire. It is North of

Lake Mead. What amazing things to see.

Monday we drove down to the strip and I took pictures as Luanne

drove by all those places.

Tuesday I got my staples removed and said goodbye to my Littermates.

I lost a whole 3 pounds that I will never see again. Hurray!

Off to the airport and a 2 hour flight.

Ernie and Dave picked us up and boy was it nice to be home.

Grace's Birthday

She had asked Papa if she could go to Build-A-Bear.

Aunt Alicia was so sweet and took her.

Justin got a bear too. So cute.


Aunt Dana made her a cake.

Thank you all for making her Birthday a great one.

Surgery here I come.

Saturday March 28
Dave and I were installed as officers in Amaranth.
He is the Prelate and I am Charity.
Grace also attended the Jobies Grand Bethel Weekend, as a Jobie-2-B.
She had lots of fun. Aunt Elaine and Lindsay were there for her to be with.

Grace will be initiated into Job's May 14.

I am going to be an auntie to another boy.
Alicia found out today.
Hurray!

I got my approval for the surgery yesterday. It is all a go.
I am so excited.

I have a surgery date:

April 8

I will be going in for an appointment with the surgeon on Tuesday and
plan to have surgery on Wednesday.

In less than 1 year I will be 100 lbs lighter. Well that is my goal.
